The final countdown has begun for every team looking to make a late-season push. A few others, though, have earned their right to kick their feet up and watch the ensuing chaos.

Author’s note: Happy Thanksgiving guys! It’s been a fun year so far and I can’t wait to see how it all shakes out. I really enjoy getting to do this every year with you all; this league is legitimately one of my favorite things in the world. I’m hoping to go even bigger and do even better next year, so please let me know if you’re interested in playing in year four! Hope everyone has an awesome holiday!

Minecraft Steves, Team Ligma eliminated from playoff hunt

After 11 weeks of play, we have our first losers of the season. The battle for last place, and the league punishment, is underway.

Minecraft Steves (3–8) are now eliminated from playoff contention following their loss to Miles Colonel Sanders (8–3). It’s an unfortunate end for such a capable team, but they continually caught the short end of the stick. Every time they perform well, their opponent performs just a little better. Not fair at all. Still, manager Connor Quinn deserves respect for putting together a team of stars, like Stefon Diggs, Alvin Kamara and Joe Burrow.

Team Ligma (3–8) are also officially eliminated from playoff contention after losing to Tristans Big Toe (7–4). They just couldn’t get on a roll and before they knew it, the league blew right by them. It doesn’t help that top pick Najee Harris has underperformed all season, while Aaron Jones and Mike Evans haven’t found any consistency. The talent is certainly there, but manager Alex Romero has to be disappointed.

Team Alpert nearly come back from 110-point deficit

Few things in life are guaranteed. At 8:30 PM on Sunday night, a loss to Meat Beatus was guaranteed for Team Alpert. It was a set in stone — or so we thought.

On Sunday Night Football, the Kansas City Chiefs and the Los Angeles Chargers had an epic battle. Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce and Josh Palmer combined for 94.46 points, bringing Team Alpert to within just 13. Despite the late surge, manager Dan Alpert and his team couldn’t finish down the stretch and ultimately stall out on their two-game winning streak.

Even with their loss, Team Alpert have pretty much locked in their playoff spot and will likely remain the second-best team in the league to close out the season.

Other storylines
