After another week full of exciting NFL action, not much has changed in the Buncha Chumps standings. Powerhouse teams, like Colonel Miles Sanders and Team Alpert, continue to pour it on with impressive victories. On the backend of the league, a few comeback stories have begun to take shape.

Minecraft Steves score 164 points, move to 2–3

After putting up just 440.2 points through the first four weeks, Minecraft Steves post a whopping 164.98 points in a massive win over Green Ghouls. Team manager Connor Quinn had four players score more than 23 points, helping the Steves reach their highest game total of the season so far.

“I finally found some diamonds and not lapis for once,” Quinn said after his team’s week five win.

Minecraft Steves are now 2–3 on the season, moving into the ninth spot on the week six power rankings just one week after being ranked dead last.

Allen scores 36 in losing effort for DC MacNSneeze

Death, taxes and Josh Allen balling out. There are few guarantees in a lifetime and team manager Tyler Rand is benefiting from one of them. However, Allen’s 36.56-point effort in week five wasn’t enough for Rand and the MacNSneeze. To be fair, it wasn’t an easy matchup, as Miles Colonel Sanders had six players score 14 or more points. Still, Rand is probably hoping to get more out of the rest of his team; players not named Josh Allen combined for just 65.5 points.

Rand declined to comment on the current status of his team.

DC MacNSneeze, now sporting a 3–2 record, fall to fifth in the power rankings after five weeks of play.

Other storylines

  • Frederick Kinblasters (3–2) beat Team Ligma (2–3), moving up one spot to fourth in power rankings
  • Miles Colonel Sanders (4–1) and Team Alpert (4–1) are the undisputed best teams in the league so far
  • The Cummy Boyz (2–3) drop their third game in four weeks after losing both starting running backs to injuries; now 11th in the power rankings
  • Meat Beatus (1–4) lose to Pittsburgh Atticus Finches (2–3) in dramatic fashion; Davante Adams nearly hits 30 on Monday Night Football to seal the comeback

New format

Every five weeks, the weekly power rankings will feature analysis for each team up until that point in the season. The weeks in between will break down the main storylines of the league from that week.

For instance, the Week 10 and 15 power rankings format will be exactly like last week (Week 5). However, every other week will be similar to the format of this week. There will also be a final power rankings list heading into the playoffs.
